Great for protecting birdfeeders from squirrels! Jun 23, 2010 I bought 4 slinkies to use to prevent squirrels from climbing up the poles on our birdfeeders. They work great. It's been about 3 weeks and so far, the squirrels have not figured out how to climb up the poles. They do hang around underneath and eat up dropped seeds.
Fun, but rusts/tarnishes... Apr 06, 2010 After a few days of playing with it, the slinky started to show spots of rust or tarnish. I have kept my hands clean and the slinky was not exposed to water. Ive tried to look up what this slinky is made out of, but its not stainless steel.
Its fun to stretch, put it up to your ear, and oscillate the slinky to get a laser gun-like sound.
Classic Toy Mar 27, 2010 I purchased this slinky for my 4-year old grandson. To introduce him to old-fashioned fun. A traditional, simple (non-plastic), creative toy. He liked it O.K., but his younger two-year-old brother played with it for hours. Maybe I should buy one for myself!
slinky Feb 04, 2010 Hard to find the "real" slinky, but this is it and the price was good.
A childhood toy for GREAT grandkids! Dec 01, 2009 My great grandsons love these, and I played with the same type toy in the 50's.
