So far so good Jul 23, 2010 Received the trimmer in good shape, although it was delivered to the wrong house (UPS's fault). Used it twice so far and it works great!

Incorrect Item Pictured Jul 16, 2010 I owned the string trimmer pictured. After six seasons the trimmer wore out so I went to replace it based on the image. Unfortunately the GH600 I received is a CHEAPER quality plastic, no soft grips as shown and no lever lock to prevent cord disconnection. The shaft is also a silver color. The first time I used it, the auto feed stopped working and the cord disconnected several times. I've written to Amazon about the incorrect product image but the site was never updated.
This item is another example of a company placing what used to be a good brand on an inferior product.
Black & Decker GH600 Grass Hog 14-Inch 5 amp Electric String Trimmer and Edger Black & Decker GH600 Grass Hog 14-Inch 5 amp Ele Jul 10, 2010 Very easy to use and operates well. I cannot fault the product but maybe the only thing I would add is that if you are using it for any length of time, your arms begin to ache due to the way the machine has to be held. However, it is efficient and easy to use and I'm loving decimating weeds! Replacing the spool is also extremely easy. We have no hesitation in recommending the Black and Decker Grass Hog to anybody.
B&D 5 Amp Electirc String Trimmer Jul 09, 2010 I am very pleased with trimmer and its power and automatic string feed. I am extremely happy about the price and the fast delivery. I started out looking for the 7 amp B&D electric, but the price on the 5 amp was one I couldn't ignore and I am glad I got it.
My Toro (3.0 amp) didn't have any umph and was very annoying because of having to continually stop and find the string end. I have a big area where grass and weeds grow high. It doesn't take long to become real labor to maintain. The terrain isn't suitable for a mower. My expensive Husquavarna doesn't run well and quits after running on a tank of gas. I wear myself out trying to get it re-started and after the first session can't get it started. They should make them button start. Yearly maintenance on the gas trimmer is expensive. I am leary of the battery trimmers as I think the charge doesn't carry you very far in trimming and those batteries (when you have to replace, and that is going to happen) are expensive.
After a month of use I am happy with my purchase and the Georgia retailer that sold it to me.
