Does a good job - but is bulky to store Oct 30, 2009 As others noted. It Does a good job in 3rd or 4th gear but does not pick up anything if its wet. It also jams often with any twigs. However it is good solid quality, and gets about 95% of the leaves out in open space. For the others I simply blow them into the middle of the lawn and then sweep them up. Although I found the instructions a bit unclear, once together it is a solid machine. I am very satisfied with this sweeper and would purchase it again. I simply use it for about 1 hr a weekend in the fall for 3-4 weekends and that gets me thru the season. No more entire weekends spent raking.
Sweeper Oct 16, 2008 I had bought this sweeper recently to help me with the leaf gathering chores in my yard. I have about 3/4 of an acre with quite a bit of very large oak trees and as we get older we need tools to make our job a little easier. It took me roughly 2 1/2 hours to assemble the sweeper some of the instructions were somewhat vague but ,you could still put it together with a little trial and error. Overall I gave the sweeper 3 stars because sometimes the wheel locks especially when you pull it over some uneven surfaces, this sweeper is probably better adapted to use on areas where you have a lot of room to maneuver your tractor. It will take up quite a bit of space in your tool shed so you probably have to lift the grass or leaf catcher to save space. The quality of the item seems to be adequate , although I had to reinforce the corners with duct tape to secure one corner where the snapon couldn't connect so rather than risk forcing it and tearing the tarp I just used duct tape. I have used the sweeper two times I still have to wait for the rest of the leaves to fall I am hoping that this sweeper will last me for many years.

LawnSweep Oct 13, 2008 The product out of box was fairly easy to put together. Once done, the first test was adjustments. The sweepers can be adjusted to almost any height you could ever need. Sweeping the lawn for leaves was my only requirment when I looked at sweepers. This sweeper does that and more. With each sweep it picked up all debri and most of the leaves. Only drawback is the basket size. It would hold closer to its claim if the sweepers rotated a bit faster. They only send items back to the basket with enogh speed to make it half way there, so the middle to the front quickly fills and nothing can get to the back half of the basket with out stopping and hand pushing them there yourself. For the price it does it's job.

Product well worth it Sep 27, 2008 This product does the trick very nicely. As other reviews have mentioned, any moisture on leaves will affect this units pickup abilities. But seriously, any moisture on leaves affects the performance of a rake too, does it not? This model was much cheaper than the equivalant Craftsman model and does a neat and tidy job. When getting started with this, or I would imagine any sweeper, be patient. You have the find the right balance of speed and brush height. After experimenting for about 10 minutes I found an excellent balance that handles leaves, twigs and even pine cones.
This item is much more durable and beefy than I expected it to be - actually weighs in at a bout 80 pounds. I am mechanically inclined, and assembly was a bit of a pain, but totally doable. Not real difficult to assemble just awkward at times.
Definitely recommend this prioduct, and the service from Amazon. Found this item here much cheaper than others, and also the only retailer offering free shipping. Saved me a lot of money (again weighs 80 darn pouns!)
Between money spent (and saved) and the performance of this product, an easy 5 stars from me.
Only for the mechanically inclined. Jul 25, 2008 This sweeper works great for light duty pickup. Although, the assembly of the unit is quite complexed. If you've got the time and patience it is worth the effort.
