Garbage ... with a capital S..t Sep 12, 2009 Wow ... what a piece of junk. Kept falling off ... I know it's somewhere in this car ... looking ... looking ... ah, the heck with it. Good thing it was inexpensive. But it still cost too much if you can't use the thing!

Falling bottom!! Jun 03, 2009 I've owned the Bell coin holder for about three years. It's a handy little gadget. I keep in my car's center console to pay for my frequent stops at drive in restaurants.
I agree the thing holds about $9.00 in nickels, dimes, and quarters and about 100 pennies. I disagree about the springs being too weak. My springs are too strong and if the cylinder is full, it's hard to get the coins to slide out.
My pet peeve is that the bottom keeps falling off and spilling all the pennies all down in the console and between the seats, when I pick it up. I have no flat place in my car to mount it with the Velcro strip so I just lay it in my console.
I believe it would better serve to have the top threaded into the bottom. But I guess it's just worn out from three years of use.

Good bargain, holds just under $9 total Dec 08, 2008 I have to admit, I was a bit surprised by how small it actually was when it arrived, but once I starting filling it with change, I realized just how much it really holds! Perfect for organizing all that loose change in your car or in your house. I thought it would be useful to let other viewers know how much of each coin type this compact unit actually holds:
18 nickels ($0.90)
21 quarters ($5.25)
27 dimes ($2.70)
GRAND TOTAL = $8.85
This product will be VERY useful for me when driving through the Chicago tolls at Christmas time this year. I won't have to try and dig for the exact amount or worry about change spilling out of my cup holder if my center console collapses. Makes for a great stocking stuffer!
A good buy for the money Dec 26, 2007 I had a lot of loose change in my car which was quickly cleaned up with this change holder. As other reviews stated, the springs do not appear to be very strong, but the unit seems to work just fine...for the price, you can't beat it.
