I bought this to take to my office. Works fine, slips conveniently onto a bookshelf and I find myself drinking lots more water since it is so near and convenient to refill. Only thing, not sure if this is BPA free plastic -- does not say in the manual, in the description or anywhere that I can find. If it is BPA free, I would give it 5 stars. If not, it should not be purchased.

It leaks. It took me awhile to figure it out... The bottom of my refrigerator was getting puddles of water in it... Yup it was the pur water container... By the time I figured it out, I had already thrown away the box, the papers, and everything so no I can't send it back and am stuck with a leaky product. I do use it but I can't keep it in the fridge like I had hoped, it's on the counter hanging over the dog's water bowl....If they could figure out their leakage problem it wouldn't be a bad product because it does filter the water in a postivie way...

This dispenser is awesome. It completely eliminates any odor from tap water, and gives you just pure plain water. Water tastes great, no more odor. It is big enough for me that I only need to refill it every two days. The dispenser looks quite durable and high quality. Overall, it is an excellent product; I will definitely buy it again.

only reason i didn't give it 5 stars is it's a bit too big to fit in our refridgerator. We have a huge, Viking fridge, but it will not fit back to front without blocking the door. we need to tilt it a little bit to the side in order for it to fit all the way in.
the water is great, dispenser works well. really like it other than the minor size issue.

It is pretty convenient device and it works for me. Sure I can't judge the quality of filtering. Initially it filtered suficiently fast. But after a week or two the speed of filtering noticeably declined. Can take few hours to process half a gallon a so. It is not a problem of the dispenser itself but rather its filter. Since this is still the first filter that came with dispenser, I don't know whether it is defect of this particular filter or it is the problem by design.
Product description clearly states that dispenser has a gauge: "A handy gauge indicates when the filter needs to be replaced". To the contrary, there is no any gauge on the dispenser and anywhere else. There is a round sticker attachable to any flat surfice with a sticky indicator that you manually move after each filter replacement. Since it was one of the reasons for buying this dispenser I find it misleading to say at least.
